Develops a personal vision of inclusive educational practice
The Program Goals Reflective Essays artifact shows my ability to develop a person vision of instructional design for myself and the field in general. By referencing some of the up and coming technologies, like xAPI and mobile learning, I express my understanding of the industry technologies and how they will effect the my future work.
Describes the relationship between Educational Technology and the broader field of Education
The Ed Tech Essays artifact illustrates my knowledge of education technology and how it applies to the greater education field.
Critically evaluates theory and practice
Combined both of these artifacts illustrate my ability to evaluate theory and practice. One of the biggest things I have learned throughout the program is how instructional design is more than just technology and some rules of thumb. The field and working in the field is much bigger. Through the various reading, discussions, and project in this program, I have come to realize that being an instructional designer means providing the best learning environment and opportunities for students. This could mean using the latest technology in a mobile environment or creating a traditional 5 day classroom course.
Though I did a lot more learning after I wrote both of these artifacts they still show the path I had started on.
