Artifact: eLearning Guild Membership Receipt
Identifies and participates in communities of practice within the field of Educational Technology
I have been and am an active member of the eLearning guild. I was actually a speaker at their Learning Solutions conference when I learned about this program at Purdue. I have attended their mLearnCon conference for the last two years and am hoping to attend this years as well. I recently submitted a session proposal with a couple of co-workers for this year’s mLearnCon conference on our experience incorporating mobile devices into classroom curriculum.
Additionally, I started and now manage a monthly “CDEV Show and Tell” meeting at my company. This meeting is an opportunity for any of the instructional designers to show off anything new or interesting that they have developer or are working on. The topics for this session have ranged from designing courses for virtual delivery to the capabilities of the latest eLearning tools. I schedule this meeting, help gather people to present at the meeting, and publish the meeting recordings. I have presented at a few of these meetings as well. This meeting has become a great opportunity to share ideas, expand the capabilities of the team, and enhance the skills of the team.
